Kingfisher II

The Kingfisher II is just one of the QuickCats that ferry passengers over to Kingfisher Bay Resort on world heritage listed Fraser Island. A modern alloy vessel in contrast to the rich history of the area; it's indigenous population and it's connections to the timber industry. This painting was produced for my own amusement...to remind me that there is more to the island than meets the average tourist's eye.
